UPDATE: Shots fired at officer-involved shooting at Berea Wal-Mart this morning

There have been reports of a shooting in the parking lot of Berea Wal-Mart this morning. 

According to the Berea Police Department, officers responded to Wal-Mart to investigate a stolen vehicle. When officers attempted to make contact with the driver he placed the car in reverse and struck an officer, pinning him between two vehicles. The officer fired his weapon at the vehicle to stop it. One officer and two others involved were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Two were transported to UK Hospital and the officer involved is at Baptist Health in Richmond.

Donna Mabes, a customer in the store at the time, said she heard "5-6 rapid shots" and was given the OK to leave the store after the incident.
More information will be provided as received on this developing story. Kentuciy State Police is investigating the incident.
There is no active threat to the community and all involved are in custody. As standard practice Kentucky State Police is investigating this officer-involved shooting. 
Walmart is open for business, however, Berea PD requests that customers leave space for officers to work the scene.
