Larry Alan Williamson, 79, of Berea, Kentucky, passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by close friends and family on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
Larry was one of nine children born in Pike County to Claude and Minnie Williamson. He retired from IBM and later from Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.
Larry found joy in his farm, Central Kentucky Gun Club, UK Basketball, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Alan Williamson, his parents, Claude and Minnie Williamson, and three brothers, Charles R. Williamson, Eugene C. Williamson, and Jimmy Williamson.
He is survived by his daughter, Haley Elliott (Zane,) 2 granddaughters, Kaila Elliott and Braden Elliott, brother, Paul D. Williamson (Janice,) and 4 sisters, Joann Van Benthuysen (Herb,) Janet S. LeMaster (Dorse,) Jennifer L. Whitson (Bobby,) Judy K. Manakyan (Herman) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Papaw's big bear hugs and smile will forever be a part of us.
His wishes were to be cremated. He will be laid to rest next to his son Danny at Berea Cemetery. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
