Photo Gallery: Summer Boost 2025

The Family Resource Centers at Kingston, Silver Creek Shannon Johnson, Berea Community, Foley and Farristown have collaborated and invited students that are attending 4-6th-grade to participate in Summer Boost 2025. The group meets each Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-noon at Berea Baptist Church. The goal of the program is to reduce the summer reading slide by giving students the opportunity to receive a library card and check out books at the Madison County Public Library. Several community speakers have spoke to the group and the students have taken short walks around town for enrichment opportunities. The students enjoyed a visit to the Berea Fire Department on Thursday. Berea Kids Eat feeds the participants breakfast and lunch. The program will continue through the end of June.
