Mildred Kay Johnson Wilmot, 73, wife of Edward A. Wilmot passed away suddenly Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at her home in Berea. She was born in 1951 to the late Harold and Wanda McCracken Johnson in Berea. Kay was a hairdresser for over 20 years, raised and sold miniature horses and loved to show walking horses. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and rescued many. Most importantly she loved the Lord and her church Westside Baptist. Kay loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Johnson.

Other than her husband Eddie, Kay is survived by her daughter, Becky Renee Stone and her husband David of Berea, two grandchildren, Kyle Reese, and Cayle Wundrak, two great grandchildren, Dylan Reese, and Millie Wundrak. Two sisters, Judy Pingleton and her husband David of Berea, and Lisa Wehrle and her husband Tony also of Berea. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Westside Baptist Church, funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Wehrle, David Pingleton, David Stone, James Wundrak, Kyle Reese, and Rodney Short.
