Wilma Jean Reed Gabbard

 Wilma Jean Reed Gabbard, 81, of Berea died Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family. She was a lifelong resident of Berea born October 31, 1943, daughter of the late Otis and Eva Richmond Reed, homemaker and member of Galilee Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing Candy Crush, surfing Facebook and especially taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  Survivors include daughters Gail Richmond (Russell), Jennifer Gabbard; grandchildren Shaun Abney, Amanda Abney, Tiffany McCuddy (Chase); siblings Vernon Reed (Janice), Kenneth Reed, Linda Goodrich (Larry); great-grandchildren Macy Foley (Aidan), McKayala Abney (John Landsaw), Mollie Abney, Morgan Grant, Madison Grant, Makenzie Abney, Makenna Abney, Harrison McCuddy, Harper McCuddy; in addition to numerous relatives, friends, neighbors and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Woodrow “Woody” Gabbard, and daughter Kim Hilton.

  In accordance with Jean’s wishes, she was cremated, and a private family service will be held at Berea Cemetery at a later date.
