Angela Michell Walters Himes

Angela Michell Walters Himes, age 63, passed away Monday, April 28, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born May 5, 1961, in Madison County,  to the late Leonard Walters and Christine Rawlins Harrison. Angela was a loving and proud Mom & Nana. Always wrote love notes to her children and grandchildren. She loved helping others, cleaning, cooking, and crafts. At any events her grandchildren participated in she was always the loudest cheerleader. Angela was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Vicky Lynn Beeler and Sueann Rawlins-Hunter.

Angela is survived by the love of her life, Darnell Martin, of Berea, three children, Wendy King and her husband David of Mount Vernon, Chrissy Cash and her husband Andrew of Brodhead, Robert Himes and his wife Jessica of Mount Vernon, two sisters, Tina Harrison of Berea, Stacy Walters of Berea, one brother, Billy Wayne Walters and his wife Karen of Kings Mountain, six grandchildren, Carson King, Addy King, Camryn Cash, Parker Cash, Trinity Durham, Jacob Durham, and three great grandchildren, Oaklynn Renee Powell, Kanan Martin, and India Martin. And her fur baby Teddy.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery in Waco. Pallbearers will be Jacob Durham, Carson King, Parker Cash, Adam Price, David King, Andrew Cash, and Logan Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Harrison and Stephen Harrison. Visitation will be 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the funeral home.
