Steven Scott Roden

Steven Scott Roden, 53, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2025.
He was born in Covington on September 11, 1971, the son of Brenda Carol Carpenter Roden and the late Steve Henry Roden. Scott was a hard-working guy who worked a variety of jobs, including being a truck driver for 84 Lumber and working for Doug’s Electric, where he earned his certification for doing electrical work. He also enjoyed building computers, tinkering with various hobbies and interests, but his family was his pride and joy – his mother, children, and grandchildren were his world, and he always looked for ways to do things for them.
Survivors include: his children, Sheene Rawlins (Teddy “TJ”) & Paul Wayne Roden (Katelyn); his mother, Brenda Roden; his grandchildren, Jaylinn Howard-Rawlins, Payton Howard-Rawlins, Harley Rawlins, Alexis Barrett-Roden, and Adlynn Barrett-Roden; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Carpenter.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Bro. Greg King & Bro. Johnny King is officiating.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Christopher Little, Keith Carpenter & Charles Brock.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
