Belinda Kay Fothergill, 64, of Berea passed away on April 11, 2026, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.

Belinda was born on July 31, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and she carried the values of hard work, faith, and devotion with her throughout her life. She was a longtime employee of Whitaker Bank, where she served faithfully for over 45 years. Her dedication, professionalism, and steady presence made her a respected and valued part of the bank family, and she took great pride in the work she did and the relationships she built over the years.

Belinda was also a very active member of White Lick Baptist Church, where her faith was an important and guiding part of her life. She served the church in many meaningful ways, including as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, treasurer, and pianist. Her service reflected her generous spirit and her deep commitment to her church family. She shared her gifts with joy and humility, and her presence was a blessing to all who worshiped and served alongside her.

Family was at the center of Belinda’s life, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett W. Sparks. She is survived by her husband, Sam Fothergill; her mother, Imogene H. Sparks; her daughters, Amanda Brooke Pearson and her husband Robby, and Emily Paige Fothergill; her two stepchildren, Joey Fothergill and his wife Ashley, and Casey Bee and her husband Aaron; her brother, Darrell Wayne Sparks and his wife Carla; and her four grandchildren, Maxton Robert Pearson, Aria Rose Fothergill, Sam-Will Scott Fothergill, and Oaklyn Everleigh Bee. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her close in their hearts. She has always selflessly cared for others, especially her mother.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at White Lick Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery.
