Blaine Taylor Martin

Mr. Blaine Taylor Martin, age 82, passed away on Friday, March 14, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Blaine was born on the 30th day of November 1942 in Wayland and was the son of the late Ben and Della Taylor Martin. He was a service station owner for most of his life. For several years he was the owner and operator of AAA tire and towing service in Lake City, Florida, where he, his wife, and children lived for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and together they saw many beautiful sites in Florida and the surrounding states. He retired from the Madison County school system.

The joy of his life was spending time with family and friends, and especially his five grandchildren. His pastimes were antique cars, collecting antiques, NASCAR racing, and watching old westerns.

Survivors include two children Elaina (Fred) Johnson and Tony (Cindy) Martin; one sister Claudia Clark, and one sister-in-law Helen Martin. Five grandchildren Catherine (Brent) Ramsey, Eric Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Ryan Martin, Justin Martin, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his beloved, wife Judy Elaine Martin, one baby son Blaine Curtis Martin one sister Carol Stafford, and one brother Chalmer Martin; and brother-in-law: Ronald Clark.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 19, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Martin, Ryan Martin, Justin Martin, Phillip Martin Brent Ramsey, and Richard Cheatham

Honorary Pallbearers include Fred Johnson, Eric Johnson, William Clark, Lyn Stafford, Dr. Robert Stafford, Bobby Willoughby, Dave Johnson and Brandy Moberly
