LeRoy Kenneth VandenOever, 78, of Berea, passed away peacefully on April 3. He was born on Dec.13, 1946, in Osseo, MN, a son of the late Henry and Artie Naaktgeboren VandenOever. LeRoy's life was marked by devotion to his faith, family, and community.
LeRoy is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeri VandenOever, with whom he shared a life full of joy and companionship. His legacy continues through his daughters, Kyra (Jason) Ledford, Kendra (Tom) Miller, and KaLoy (Aaron) Williams; his brother, Ron VandenOever; and his cherished ten grandchildren, Jeremiah Monnett, KaLynn Desenko, Katherine Peters, Kasedria Miller, Jeffrey Miller, James Miller, Landon Williams, Lucy Williams, Athena Williams, and Iris Williams.
After a fulfilling career as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene and dedicated service at the Blue Grass Army Depot, Leroy retired to enjoy his passions. He was an avid golfer who cherished the moments spent on the greens. Above all, his greatest pleasure was the time spent surrounded by his family, whose lives he enriched with love, wisdom, and kindness.
