Mrs. Tressie R. Sizemore,

Mrs. Tressie R. Sizemore, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Sizemore, the daughter of William Odis Rogers and Effie Broughton Rogers, was born in Jackson County on February 18, 1935. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday. She worked as an Independent caregiver for many years. Tressie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and invested her life in caring for her family. Her love for the Lord was evident in how she met the needs of others.

On September 17, 1951, Tressie united in marriage to James Luther Sizemore who preceded her in death on May 28, 1997.

Survivors include two sons: James Earl Sizemore and Cliffton Randall Sizemore (& Brenda), her daughter: Wanda Carpenter all of Richmond, two sisters: Trulla Faye Lamb and Lavada Ruth (& Jake) Maupin, two grandchildren: Justin (& Tina) Carpenter and Jaclyn Nicole Smith, two great grandchildren: Audrey Nicole Carpenter (& Kevin) and Samantha Paige Carpenter (& Mason), her great-great granddaughter: Zoey Isabella Arrieta and one on the way. She is also survived by serval nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sizemore was preceded in death by her son: Lee Roy Sizemore, her daughter: Juanita “Sissy” Baker, her twin brothers: Arthur and Earnest Rogers, her brother: Everett Rogers and one sister: Geraldine Robinson.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Justin Carpenter, Gary Blevins, James Sizemore, Garry Gay and Allen Sizemore.
